County Fair

This year we had to move animals in on Sunday instead of on Monday like usual so they planned lots of activities for the kids to do. Cody had signed up with a couple other kids from his 4H group to do the Porta Potty Race. Cody is the one in a blue shirt pushing behind the Royal Throne. Cole looks like he is ready to get the race started.Cody and Cole watching the events with friends.Cody and Caley signed up for a piggy back race, guess they didn't know that they would have to switch and the other person had to carry them on the way back. Luckily Cody was allowed to run there and back. They also did a wheel barrel race where Cody was trying to line it with towels so Caley wouldn't have to sit on the cow poo that had already been in it. Someone came over and gave them a feed bag to line it with and Caley jumped in and away she went.
Caley had fun all summer with her cousin Alex, he also had pigs to show. We ended up taking 10 pigs for 7 kids. Cole and his cow named "Cow" getting ready to show.Cole and "Nosey", I think he's giving her a pep talk that she better behave while in the arena.Cody had 2 pigs to show and they were so close in weights that his cousin Isaac had to show one too. Dad was giving him pointers before he went in, must have helped cause he got 4th place in showmanship. He stopped looking at the judge or he would have placed higher, guess he will definitely know what to do next year.Cole showing his pig.Cole and Caley with a friend waiting for the bus to come on the first day of school. Fair was over Sunday and they started school on Tues. Cole is now in 5th and Caley went to 1st.

Here is my 7th grader all ready for his first day of school, wow I still remember putting him on the bus for his first day of Kindergarten!
